MB/s (higher is better)
The v1571 firmware we've installed onto the Torqx has unlocked 10MB/s or so of burst speed over the Vertex and nearly 20MB/s over the Falcon with the same firmware.

Impressively, the Torqx, upgraded to the latest firmware, takes the crown of the fastest SSD we've yet to test when it come to average read speed, even pipping the SLC based Intel X25-E with an average read speed across the drive of 231.9MB/s. It's also over two and a half times faster than a 1TB mechanical drive like the Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB. However, this speed is still someway off the claimed maximum of 260MB/s that patriot quotes the drive is capable of.

The Indilinx and Samsung ARM based drive controllers excel when it comes to write speeds, and that's only improved with the latest v1571 firmware. The Torqx is able to exactly match the average write speed of the Corsair P256 following it's firmware update, making it the joint fastest SSD we've yet to test for write speeds. Again though, the Torqx fails to achieve the maximum write speed of 180MB/s claimed by Patriot.

m/s - less is better
As with every ARM processor based SSD we've tested, random access times are less than 0.1milliseconds.
